About Us

In 2025, three close families, the Bowman's, Hearin's, and Lenahan's came together to discuss an idea on how to help their wonderful kids grow up to be inspired, service-minded changemakers. Together, the families came up with the vision for Impact Kids Miami, where we believe every child has the power to create change. Our mission is to nurture that potential by making philanthropy and service part of growing up.

 

The setup is simple. Families make a one-time family membership contribution of $1,000 and contribute $100 per month per child to the Impact Kids Miami Donor Advised Fund (DAF), which serves as the funding pool for charitable grants. Kids are assigned to small groups called "Impact Pods", consisting of up to 10 members, based on age compatibility and availability. Members attend quarterly Impact Pod meetings to research, present and vote on charitable organizations - as well as participate in at least one service project per quarter. Through the program, kids will have fun and develop knowledge and life skills - learning about important causes, decision-making, governance, financial literacy, philanthropy and more!

We pledge that 100% of family contributions will be distributed to qualified charitable organizations.

While we started with our five awesome kids - we are excited to begin expanding in 2026, where we will look to build new Impact Pods throughout the greater Miami area. We are currently working on developing an A+ program so when the Impact Pods are rolled out, the framework, programming and culture are ready to scale.
